Chedi Lustica Bay
Chedi Lustica Bay. Luxury real estate in Lustica Bay by Orascom Development. Apartments, town houses and villas located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea
Chedi Lustica Bay: Those in the know – whether it is business, property or travel – will already have Luštica Bay in Montenegro on their radar. The development project, said to be costing around 1.1 billion euros, is, in effect, the building of a major new town with a state-of-the-art infrastructure. Found on an idyllic stretch of the Balkan coastline, after completion it will host a few thousand residents, more than 1,000 apartments (in its first phase) and more than 500 villas and townhouses. The project will also include seven hotels, two marinas, a signature 18-hole golf course and a range of public facilities, including a school and medical facility – with the first phase completing in the summer of 2019.
The big news this summer, however, is that this month sees the opening of the first hotel in the development – and one, no less, from the Chedi brand, renowned for its luxurious properties. Bringing a touch of Asian flair to the Adriatic, Chedi Luštica Bay will have minimalist décor married with top-end service and fine detailing, and, best of all, perhaps, it is situated on the waterfront with views of the bay, marina and the Adriatic Sea.
Marc de Ruijter, general manager at The Chedi Luštica Bay, comments: “We are tremendously excited to be launching the first hotel at Luštica Bay, Montenegro’s largest fully integrated resort development on the Luštica peninsula. Chedi hotels have been created as tranquil settings where, on their journeys, travellers can rediscover the peace of solitude and stillness amid environs of beauty – and we couldn’t think of a more apt location than Luštica Bay for guests to have the legendary Chedi experience.”
The building’s architecture was conceived by the acclaimed tvsdesign, from Atlanta Georgia in the USA, whose designers have adopted a modern interpretation of local building design. Meanwhile, contemporary, fresh and airy interiors have been created by GG & Grace. Bedrooms have splashes of bold colour mixed with a more neutral primary palette and, throughout the property, materials and textiles have been chosen to enhance the views outside of the pristine coastal location.
At the hotel’s two restaurants, guests can dine with ocean views as their backdrop, as well as enjoying locally-sourced produce, given a modern twist. ‘The Restaurant’ will offer a pan-Mediterranean menu, while there is Asian-inspired seafood at the marina-based ‘The Spot’. Meanwhile, the Chedi Spa will bring a touch of serenity with its ancient healing traditions of the East, from stimulating body polishes to romantic bathing ceremonies.
Darren Gibson, chief executive office at Luštica Bay, also commented: “Montenegro is steadily becoming a go-to destination for those seeking an ultimate luxury Riviera lifestyle. It is with great pride that we are bringing the iconic Chedi brand to Luštica Bay. Along with the launch of the first marina this summer, this is a significant milestone in the development of our project. The Chedi is a perfect fit for Luštica Bay, given the synergies in the brand ethos of both companies. This agreement reaffirms our commitment to the highest quality development and firmly establishes Luštica Bay at the forefront of luxury residential and tourist destinations in the region.”
